…my heart and flesh cries out…

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as [surely as] the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so [surely] the Lord God will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations [through the self-fulfilling power of His word].”-Is. 61:10-11

A scripture from my quiet time this morning.

God is so good.

I just love it when the Lord breaks through all of the junk and the clamor that constantly vies for our hearts in this age. Thanks be to God that this is just what He does. To give strict attention to the Prescence of our King is a must for us, ours is a time full of distractions. God is faithful. I know that this has been a place of constant challenge to me but the Lord is teaching me.

Deep calls to deep.

There is, however, nothing more satisfying than making time for getting into the Secret Place of His tabernacle. There, we are hid from everything that would dare harm us. The Lord brings low every enemy who dares touch us. No foe can withstand His might, Hallelujah! To learn to abide continually in this place day in and out like Brother Lawrence and other saints of old is the ultimate blessing, it’s what the Lord intended.

A scripture that the Lord had been bringing back to my attention continually for the past week:

“For God is my witness, Whom I serve with my [whole] spirit [rendering priestly and spiritual service] in [preaching] the Gospel and [telling] the good news of His Son, how incessantly I always mention you when at my prayers.” -Rom 1:6

“…Whom I serve with my [whole] spirit…”

To serve God from our spirit by is a must, the soul can’t help but to produce death. Distractions and such are all part of the soul life. Because our spirit is continually in the Presence of God this is the only way to life and peace.
